On February 1st it was celebrated the meeting with the Dean Santiago Iñiguez. The event was held at the Aula Magna of the IE Business School and was attended by over 100 professors.

During this meeting, Santiago Iñiguez made great emphasis on the role the IE Business School is playing today and noted that the School of Architecture at the IE University has been selected by the Intelligent Desing magazine as one of the top 5 schools in the world. He stressed the beginning of a new master on Architectural Design and Management which has very different profiles and different nationalities. He also mentioned that the Financial Times ranked the MBA program as number 8 in the world and added that in 2015 the goal is to consider the IE as the best European School in innovation, market orientation and entrepreneurship.

The dean emphasized  that “One of the secrets of the success of our business school is to have a clinical faculty to complement our full-time faculty.” As well as indicating that the IE Business School is committed to training professors.

For his part, Vice-Dean of Research Marco Trobetta, noted the great work done by the IE Business School and also stressed that the institute currently ranked No. 1 in Spain for knowledge generation. If you are interested in seeing the research report, click here.

Joaquín Garralda, Dean of Academic Affairs, spoke of the importance of the relationship between students and professors today.

To conclude the event, Luis Solis, Associate Dean for Adjunct and Visiting Faculty of IE Business School, has pointed out that currently there are over 600 active faculty members and visitors from around the world. Luis Solis also shared the plan of workshops for professors during the 2010-2011 academic year.
