A book:

Europe, A History, by Norman Davies. It should be a book of reference for those who live in this continent. It’s possibly one of the best history books I have ever read.  I also enjoy The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien y A Confederacy of Dunces by Toole.

What sports do you play:

I swim 3-4 times a week and on weekends I play tennis with my friends and children.

A dream:

Discovering a way to generate unlimited amounts of energy at a reasonable price. It could be that it has already been discovered, but we haven’t figured it out yet.

Sabali, by Amadou y Miriam. It´s different from anything else you hear.

A memory in the classroom:

An ex MBA student asked to enlighten him on something that I was explaining. Several of us quickly gave him some matches.

A ritual before beginning a class:

I prepare the class the day before, I carefully review the material and I update it as needed. I always put myself in my students’  shoes;  it is important that they feel confident that they understand the material.
