Prior to this, he has worked as Technical Program Manager of YouTube Content Distribution Network at Google. He has a BA in Economics from University of Western Ontario, a Post Graduate Diploma of Computer Networks from Centennial College and a MBA in Management from IE Business School.
Chris received his PhD in mechanical engineering design at University of California, Berkeley (Summer 2013). In addition to conducting research on small-scale fuel-flexible engines, he also completed the Management of Technology Program (MOT) at the Haas School of Business and received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (2009); both from U.C. He received his doctorate in business administration from the Harvard Business School in the area of management information systems. His master’s degree in computer science is from Carleton University, Canada. He holds a Bachelor in Engineering degree from the Francisco Marroquín University, Guatemala.
His research focuses on the interplay between new information technology and organization transformation in highly uncertain environments. He has been involved in studying projects of organizational change in the United States, Canada, Spain, Mexico, and the Central and South American regions.
