Dr. Bruce (Harv) Busta, received his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.  He has an accounting degree (with honors) and a MBA from St. Cloud State University.  He is a CPA and CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).  His research is typically involves the creation of cases for accounting and MBA students.  For more than 12 years he has been a visiting professor at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.  Both at SCSU and IE, Dr. Busta has extensively taught financial and managerial accounting for MBA students.  He is also the Finance Forum Leader for the Anderson Center, which specializes business education for executives and mid-level managers.

Dr. Busta is an avid nordic skier and cyclist.  He is a beekeeper and in the spring of 2013 he and his wife walked the Camino de Santiago from St. Jean Pied de Port in France, to Santiago de Compostela in Spain; a total of more than 800 km.

His earned his Bachelor of Science (Statistics) from Bombay University (India), Master of Taxation from Georgia State University, and Ph. D. in Accounting from Georgia State University. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has also passed the CPA exam from Arizona. Before joining the University of North Texas, he was a faculty member at Arizona State University and Louisiana State University. He has a varied teaching background. Mr. Richards has been deeply involved in Hedge Funds since 1983 when he met Julian H Robertson Jr the Founder of Tiger Management. Mr. Robertson founded Tiger in May of 1980 with $10 million and by 1998 Tiger was the largest Hedge Fund in the world with over $20 billion invested.

He was a U. S. Army Infantry Lieutenant in Vietnam and was awarded The Bronze Star and The Army Commendation Device for Valor in Vietnam. Mr. Richards has lectured at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, University of Virginia and many other institutions throughout the USA on Hedge Funds.
